KNOW (Job Overview): As a Medical Technologist at the Red Cross,
you will perform basic and advanced donor and patient tests and
interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility.WHERE
YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):* Resolving
compatibility problems* Providing complex reference and
consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services*
Performing automated and manual test procedures on blood samples*
Standard Schedule: Second Shift M-F 3pm to 11:30 pm with some
weekends and holiday rotationsWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum
Qualifications): * ASCP certified MLT, MLS/MT or BB* Good written
and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal and
external customers. Must be able to work on a team and
independently. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical
equipment. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable
software for sustained periods.* Schedule: Must be available for
daytime training during the first 6 months on the job. After
training, the work schedule will be Second Shift Monday-FridayWHAT
