Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a Radiologic
Technologist to work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level I
Trauma Center located in Norfolk, VA.
Hours/Shift:
2nd Shift
Department/Position Overview:
Are you looking test your skills and learn new ones? Join us in the
Radiology Department at our Level I Trauma Center! You will be
exposed to a wide variety of studies and procedures with both
inpatients and outpatients. Our cohesive team is known for our

Job Requirements:
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of
patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the
direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of
patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation
of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic
Radiology systems and preparation of patient
room/equipment/medications. Phlebotomy competency for lab may be
required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Job Summary

Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT
registry within 180 days of hire.
Qualifications:
TS - Trade School Graduate (Required)
ARRT Radiography(R) - Certifications - American Registry Of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS) -
Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others,
Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or
systems
