Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an
Echocardiographer to join the Non-invasive Lab Team!
$25,000 Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance can be provided to
qualified candidates!
Shift: Full Time - 8 hour shifts rotating between 6am to 5pm. Call
will be required about every 11th week for a one-week period.
Unit has 5 rooms for Echos. Echocardiographer will perform Echo and
Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and
Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac
Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and willalso work with
patients at the bedside.
Education: Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or
equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS ) required
within 12 months of hire.
BLS certification required.

Job Summary
Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms,
transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress
echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the
evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes
the technologist report in the structured report application.
Qualifications:
ALD - Associate's Level Degree: Cardiovascular Technology, BLD -
Bachelor's Level Degree: Cardiovascular Technology, HS - High
School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart
Association (AHA) RQI
