Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and
detail-oriented Program Analyst to join our team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks
across the Project Management processes, including initiating,
organizing, integrating, planning, managing, and controlling
projects or programs. This role will involve driving successful
project and program outcomes against financial, schedule,
technical, and/or new business performance objectives.Key
Responsibilities:Under Direction of the assigned Program
Manager/Director
- Perform tasks across the Project Management processes,
including:
- Initiating: Define project scope, objectives, and
deliverables
- Coordinating: Work with production, planning, contracts, supply
chain, finance, etc. to ensure successful project planning and
execution
- Integrating: coordinating project activities, deliverables,
action items and stakeholders
- Planning: developing project schedules, budgets, and resource
plans
- Change: Assist with managing the change process, ensuring
changes are quickly incorporated and funded
- Execute: Perform processes and develop management plans with
operations, anticipating and resolving schedule and budget
deviations to meet management and project requirements
- Controlling: monitoring and controlling project scope,
schedule, budget, and quality
- Developing and completing: Drive outcomes through collaboration
delivering project results and documenting lessons learned
- Track progress against financial, schedule, technical, and/or
new business performance objectives, including:
- Monitoring and reporting on project metrics and key performance
indicators (KPIs) including budget and schedule and prepare status
reports and recovery plans using EVMS practices to inform
leadership and customers
- Identifying and addressing project risks and issues
- Developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure
project success
- Manage conflict collaboratively and support meetings and tasks
assigned by the applicable Program Manager and/or Director of
ProgramsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration, Operations Management, or related field and or
relevant industry equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in project management, program
management, or a related field
- "Yes If" problem solving mentality
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methods, and
tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication
skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. MS
Project, OpenPlan, Primavera)
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel,
Tableau)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and
SharePoint
- Ability to work collaboratively, independent and self-motivate
in a fast paced environment while prioritizing multiple projects
and tasks.
- Comprehension - ability to understand problems and to
collaborate to explore identification of solutions.
- Organization - ability to organize and prioritize own work
schedule on short-term, and/or long-term basis, both for self and
others.
- Reasoning & Decision Making - ability to prioritize work
projects and requirements; ability to develop concepts, plans and
work schedules and communicate them to others, and/or to
subordinate employees.
- Communication - regular requirements to use written and oral
communication skills; interact with managers, staff, co-workers and
others encountered in the course of work; ability to compose
materials such as detailed reports and work related documents and
communicate substantively about them either verbally or in writing;
communicate interactively & make presentations effectively.
- Mathematics - ability to compute, analyze and interpret
numerical and/or statistical data for reporting purposesPreferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
or similar certification
- Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar certification
- Experience in Defense or Maritime Industries
- Experience with business development and new business
initiatives
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis tools (e.g.
financial modeling software)
- Strong understanding of business operations and processes
- Government/Commercial New Construction Shipbuilding or Ship
Repair experience
- Positive attitude, Team-oriented approach to problem solvingPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
